In many regions of the world, religion has disappeared from the social scene. With it, many health habits , such as contemplation, kindness, silence and acceptance (just to but name a few), have lost their necessary attention. No wonder newer healthy, spiritual habits filed in these gaps like meditation. a practise which in eastern cultures has long been part of the spiritual, sometimes even religious culture.
This is the bamboo meditation cathedral, located on top of a hill in northern Chiangmai, Thailand. enjoying vast views of the unique mountainous surroundings, the project has been designed to integrate harmoniously within the environment, looking like it emerged from the ground. While this cathedral fits local spiritual habits like Buddhism, similar meditation cathedrals can be expected in the years to come in Western worlds as well.
